Checked out the 19 story Saturday for the first time. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the door with no handle to get to the roof so I couldn't get up. Quite frustrating considering that was my main reason for going. But still a fun day. Had to take a friend by the machine shop as well.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

That city shot, though. I'm a really big rainy day person. Promise me you could hear the rain throughout the building.

yeah love the city shot. just raining pouring down. no roof access huh?

and the shadow casted by your camera flash, if you're using flash with your camera angled down, it'll cast a shadow from the camera lens. you have to take pictures more leveled out or use a shorter lens.

I found out that you can access it, just have to use a knife or something for the rooftop door. Lol. And the only 2 lenses I have are like a 14-42 and a 45-200, plus I like to use the wide angle attachment. Ima get a tripod soon. I'll play around with it more and see about the shadow. It was barely raining we went in, and when we are on the top floor balconies. And as we worked our way back down, it started pouring. Lol

Are you shooting Olympus?

To get rid of the shadow, you'll need to either use a smaller lens, remove your lens hood (if applicable) or buy an external flash that mounts to your hot shoe.

It's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3. I just pulled the manual out. Gonna see what all I can figure out. Haven't read it yet anyways

You can also access the roof via climbing from the balconies of the top floor... Just depends on what time of day it is and how big your balls are ;)

There never is a need to go that far. The roof door works. It o.ly appears to be locked.
