There is a section in the Cave Clan's forums on Ninj that has some heartfelt tributes to him.
Next year is the tenth anniversary of his passing. Maybe I'll post them up here.

I think you're the first person to ever read anything bad into the "Infiltration" star that we have here on UER... the star was created as a tribute, an homage, to Ninjalicious, and that is why he is the only person who has it on their profile.

The star is supposed to show appreciation for the website and community he created with his "Infiltration" zine in the mid-90's. The description of the star is tongue-in-cheek and suggests that anyone who creates a community and calls it Infiltration will get the star, but really it is only this one man who deserves the honour.

UER and Infiltration aren't really "one" -- I just run the Forum that is linked from Infiltration, is all. UER has also been around since 2002, nearly 12 years now, which is a long time.

Anyway, I appreciate all of you who said nice things about me. I give Ninjalicious way more credit with helping the community, however -- I just provide a platform.

I don't know how I was able to find some negative in the badge. I read up on ninjalicious and appreciate all that he has done for the community. Thank you to everyone for setting me straight on the truth.
Now Id be more then happy if this silly little undeserving thread received no more attention.

Ill add this ... no matter what drama, or forum flaming was going on, Ninj was always the calm voice of reason. He never seemed to judge anyone. there could be 15 pages of a flamewar going on between members here over ethics or something someone did, or just stupid internet drama, and Ninj would pipe in and post something in the vein of kindness, understanding, and love your fellow explorers no matter what their faults are, and almost instantly the fight would end with good terms.



and he was a heck of a guy in general. Like Dougo said lots of other people were doing the infiltration type thing around Ninj's time, but Ninj had something about him, and his way of telling a story that made him shine above the rest. to this day I miss him.

Infiltration was a zine created by Ninj. UER is a website started by Av-X. Infiltration the website has a frontend forum that is UER on the backend. (I think I'm explaining that correctly?)
