Switch language and you can still access bbcode

how do i do that?

bottom of the screen, you can choose english, french, spanish, etc..I went with French since I understand it (more or less)...then it's just like old, click on the pic and go the share button and bbcode is there still

I think the pushpin on the share screen is BB code... FYI

so you hit the share icon, to the right of comments and faves icon... Then you see facebook twitter tumbler etc icons. Below that is a link symbol, html symbol, and a pushpin. Pushpin is the bbcode, and it makes your image a link. Does the french trick work to use standard bbcode and not make the image an automatic link?

on the french version, click on your thumbnail (like before) and then right click on the image and choose the size. that (left click) has "copy img address" as an option with different sizes.

If you're looking for the name of the photo with a link to your Flickr, the </> under the Tumblr button has it. Click the HTML button and there's the BB code, with a drop down of the size you want.

Click on the photo you want. Click the box with the arrow coming out(like we used to). On the menu that pops up, click on the little pushpin like button(right side, under the app icons). Copy and past that code here and it posts your photo.

I don't know what the french version does, but you can take the link out of the english version if you like. The code it gives you is this:

just take the URL out like this:

[img=500,333]https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7278/13384361195_e2b04c4855.jpg[/img]

Definitely a hassle but I think this is flickr's way of trying to get more traffic to their site.


I also made a .gif for anyone still confused on how to get that code.

Doesn't work with private photos. So I use a workaround by changing the user agent in Firefox:

Download the extension UAControl:

addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/uacontrol/

Set the following user agent for flickr.com:

new_flickr_sucks (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; GTB7.4; InfoPath.2; SV1; .NET CLR 3.3.69573; WOW64; en-US)
