newspaper perils

hi everyone. so I was out scouting today and came across a way inside a building that would be a ton of fun to explore, and Im sure I would get some great pictures. it is the original location for a newspaper that has recently moved to a newer building, and it will be great to get inside and explore, but alas, I have a few problems.

its only been sitting there abandoned now for, 2 years max, so Im concerned it could have some kind of motion alarms still active. it wont have a breach alarm because the window is already wide open. but, it is right downtown so being seen could be a problem. I will also need to bring a ladder because its a second floor window.

for, EVEN MORE fun, theres also a blatantly obvious camera on an adjacent building, fml.

heres a little map I threw together to help you guys help me lol.

the arrow with no text points to the open window, oops :p

its at least in a little alleyway so I have that, but that damn camera.. what you guys think, what am I dealing with? worth giving it a shot? scout the security somehow in "building" to see if guards monitor the camera screens? and plan for a security distraction to slip inside if they do?

thats my best idea.

also, behind "building x" is a parking lot lol.

Call in a bomb threat to the local school and start a fire at the old folks home. You will be in the clear.

The day I got it on was nice; it was a nice May morning.

Just go and explore it, don't mind the camera. 99% of the time they are not monitored "live".

Agreed just go and if you want to get less attention go early in the morning on Sunday. Most people are still in bed sleeping.

Should be good. I'd caution once inside stay away from the front door. If there is only one motion detector, it's there.

Test out the second building's security response. Go down the alley, try to look a bit shady, and go drive an RC car in the back parking lot.

LOL!! Im not sure I need THAT much of a distraction

I think it would be ok. going on sunday is definitely a good idea, the second building is for sure closed on sundays, and downtown bellevlle is dead in the early am during the weekend. but, at the same time, just worried it will have been called in and sealed by sunday.. I might not wait and might just give 'er lol.

this is also awesome. especially if I dont wait until sunday. I dont have an rc car, but I can linger and act shady in that alley and see what happens lol. the reason theres a camera is there is a shipping door in that alley for the other building. thinking if I sit, and linger for a bit at the door, if security doesnt come ask me whats up, Ill probably be ok. come to think of it, I dont even think theres a security office in other building, Ive seen a commisionare once, a year ago when I went to renew my health card lol.

Could try trowing a old t-shirt or whatever up on the cam.. & see how long it takes them to take it down..

But.. as the other guy said. It's almost certainly not monitored live.

So,, the question is.. what threat does it pose to you. ? If you can get in & out of the target building without anyone knowing.. Then no one would bother going next door for a look at the tape..

its true. and nothing would be changed inside when I left either. only things I steal are photos. and leave the occasional footprint :p lol but yeah basically, if I can slip in and out with nobody knowing, they would never have to view the tape. there would be nobody there on a sunday guaranteed. now I just gotta hope that window isn't noticed and sealed over the next three days.

patiently waiting....
