IM NOT ASKING FOR LOCATIONS, Just looking for a discussion with people in this area. I live in Sarasota and I'm almost positive I've visited anything worth while around the Sarasota-Bradenton area. The west coast of Florida seems almost completely demolished or locked up when it comes to abandonments. Is it just me or has almost everything been torn down?

I'm pretty sure it's just you.

Your problem seems to be that you're a super-elite Jedi/Ninja/Delta Force type who very quickly is able to penetrate any security & explore otherwise denied areas at-will.

Your bionic abilities result in you hitting every abandonment potential of interest in record time, and thus creating a void in your dynamic life.

Ah, the things you have seen & done! Us mortals couldn't even comprehend it, which is surely why you haven't wasted your time sharing any photos or information about your exploits here, nor even mentioned any of the sites made better by your esteemed presence. You must roam about the state, then country, then the world to find what you seek, and within 2 years and 7 months, I expect you to have explored all "worthwhile" abandonments on Earth & will launch a Kickstarter campaign so that you can go explore the ruins of Mars.

Actually I haven't seen or done too much, I've found plenty of places through google maps, flickr, and other websites. Usually when I go to check it out, though, it's torn down.

There are ALWAYS locations, you just need to look for them. Try finding an urbex group in your area. I know there are tons of locations in Florida due to the amount of photos and videos around. Just keep your eyes open.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Quick someone add Mars to the database, hope the graffiti and trashing of the place doesn't come too quick.

Note to people planning this Mars thing......the trip is estimated to take about 7 yrs. Don't know about all of you but for some of us the very weight of enough beer to last the trip would preclude getting off the ground.
