This was quite a surprise. The self-restraint to "take only pictures, leave only footprints, drink only the experience" haha.

*Edited out the video repost code*

Not even a sip while visiting? I must honor the respect for the code when you know no one is looking. (or did u haha!). Either way, long as the bottle stays. Hope I get the balls to explore a place that recently abandoned. Thanks for the vid.

You're welcome Fuer0st About the drinking, I don't want to make a big deal about it. Personally, I like the cheekiness of making a video which if the building owner ever sees will make him/her think, "WTF! They drank nothing!" I like to explore sober to be able to assess any risks that present themselves, and to take those risks when a good shot (of video!) or an experience is on offer. This place turned out to be easy and safe, but another time/place an attic or rooftop might have been available and I wouldn't have wanted to be merry. I find it more use to be pragmatic than moralistic about codes of behaviour. I've seen enough division in the UE community to know that compliance is a counter-intuitive concept when it comes to a bunch of non-conformists. Some egos lend themselves to riskier behaviours, and one of the risks of doing anything additional to trespassing is the inference of burglary (ie. that you gained access with intent to commit a crime). As for me, I'm content to buy my own alcohol and shine my torch into the mirror ball haha.

Haha Johnny! The mystifying thing is that documents in the offices at the bar show it has been abandoned since the late 2000's. Little drops of beer still come out of the taps, which does not smell that great. But all the bottles of wine are just sitting there aging nicely.

Haha cheers We have been so lucky in the place. Call it superstitious, but I believe had we started drinking our luck would have changed.

for the record. I own a mirror ball. (pack mirror ball in gear bag)

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.
