I just heard on MPR on the way home from work that the last of it is scheduled to be blown up on Sunday.

Yup. I'm glad to have enjoyed a rainy day there.

Ah, that's too bad I had hopes of climbing the sketch shaft again once a little more of the snow had melted... Guess all I'll have now is memories xD

I adore rainy days. Rainy day person. How is the experience of exploring on rainy days?

It's usually pretty lovely. Makes exterior photography a bit difficult, though.

I can only imagine the sound resonating through empty, stone walls.

i got stuck in there during a thunderstorm and it was awesome, 3 hours of hanging out listening to the rain drip through the holes in the roof all over the metal structures. and sitting around looking through one of the main windows overlooking the city was amazing.

I'm going to miss this place. Even though this place was really blown up, it was still a very good exploration every time.

One of the first spots I ever went too. Gonna miss it a lot.

KSTP said 10am I believe.

I trust someone will get photos of the demolition, illuminated by hundreds of tea candles? Not because it'll be dark out, but because that's how we do it in the Twin Cities.
