Going through adventure withdrawl

Right now, I'm on spring break in Cleveland, and I'm exploring buildings pretty much every day this week. After this though, I'm going back to the tiny college town, Bowling Green, where I have pretty much absolutely nothing to do. There are a couple old barns and farm houses a little ways out of town, and 40 miles north we've got Toledo, but since I don't have a car and I no longer even have a driver's license, I'm pretty much stuck where I'm at.
I've been making plans to pick the lock and see if I can get on the roof of my dorm, and I've also been thinking about trying to hop the barbed wire fence and climb the water tower, but other than that, I'm just surrounded by flat expanses of corn fields with nothing to do. How do you guys find adventure in situations like this with seemingly nothing to explore? It literally drives me crazy while I'm at school.

Drains

I only recently found an entrance to any of the drains in Bowling Green. It's pretty small, but I really hope it leads to something good. I'm just waiting for the ice to melt and then for all the flooding to go down before I try any of that.

Open your mind and you'll find things everywhere. Rooftops of active buildings. Tunnels/basements of said buildings. Construction sites. Underneath highways. The natural environment. Golf courses at night! Anything with a fence. Just bike/drive around. Honestly, be open to e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.

Do you know anything about steam tunnels? My university has them running under a lot of the streets, but I don't have any idea how safe they would be. Also, I don't know what kind of security they have and whether or not I'd be kicked out of school for going in to them. I haven't found a way in yet, but I've been pretty curious about them since I got there.

I did a little bit more research and I actually found a ten year old video of some students exploring the tunnels. I actually know exactly where the door that they entered through is and I can pick the lock if I have to.

Just out of curiosity, why are cranes a bad idea in the winter?

Because if there's snow or ice on them the chances of falling are much higher, not to mention the fact that it's colder than the devil's heart. Also when it rains, no cranes.

True shit well that's just common sense lol. I thought there was typically a higher security presence at cranes during cold months for some reason or something like that lol

It doesn't let out on the other side though. I've searched the entire city, and as so far, I haven't found an outflow. I think it might just be a very long back breaker.

Done cranes in the rain before. If you fully trust yourself to do it and it's only a light rainstorm, you totally can. Especially since no one will be looking up.
Of course, you'll still have to be veeery cautious.

Well, except for when they came to replace the elevator in my building, I haven't really seen any cranes in Bowling Green. Even then, the crane was only there for a couple hours. I actually live in the tallest building in the whole county, which is only eleven floors. I'll keep an eye out though in case any construction projects start this summer.
