Urban exploring is never an easy trek, but have you ever had an experience where you leave cut up or hurt?

I just got back from trying to find a way in to an abandoned mansion and literally landed in a thorn bush. I'm still picking out the tiny thorns...but a lot of us also got our pants torn up with major scratches. Have you ever had experiences where you just leave pretty banged up?

My most recent was going through a window and catching the top of the wood. Cut my head and didn't stop bleeding for like a fucking hour..........Awesomely stupid on my part.

I've been pretty lucky. But one time I jumped off a ledge in a foundation of a building and landed on top of a big metal spike. Went straight through my shoe and a little into my foot. So glad I had my tetanus shot though!

I have had a few falls, run ins with razorwire, all that stuff, but I think the best moment is when I was showing 2 girls around my local abandoned hospital. I was trying to be cool, walking backwards in the tunnels while giving them the history on the place when I slammed my head into a low pipe. The force of the impact threw me to the wet, asbestos covered floor.

Nothing on my end more serious than busting my knuckles open on rough wood most times.

Then there was the incident with the ticks...

...and why I may never go into the woods in Wisconsin again. 8|

(There were so. many. O____O)

Well, this one time I went into this abandoned train roundhouse, did my thing, took pictures, etc, etc, etc. I was in there for a good 2 hours. But on my way out, I just then noticed the Caution: Asbestos sign. I shit myself, ran home, and nearly gave myself pneumonia washing out my mouth and face. I pay attention more these days.

Ouch! Glad to hear that you're okay, though! But were the girls impressed? XD

Yikes!! That sounds...painful. I'm sorry you had to find out there were ticks the hard way. D:

I'm glad you're okay. It's weird how we don't notice those signs until AFTER. I had a similar situation today, actually. I was checking out an abandoned college and after spending a good hour there and left, we saw the "WARNING: HAZARDOUS MATERIALS" sign and flipped since we were 2 hours away from home.
