While most explorers worry about falling to a bone crushing death...

...I stood 20ft up on a steep, narrow staircase gazing down upon the outlines of two sharks swimming in the waters below me. Though a slip on the stairs would most likely mean I tumble down back to the landing below, the thought of an unintended swim with the sharks lingered in my mind. No, I am not making this up. This is how my ascent to the roof of one of Denver's buildings proceeded. This was my first foray into "rooftopping" and it will forever be in my mind. Due to the fact that I am unable to attach photos to my posts, I have included links to a Flickr set I made for my rooftopping forays at this location, as well as a link to my blog post on these adventures as well.

I use flickr as well and you can upload your set on here, you just need the binary code which flickr provides for us on each photo.

click the picture you want
click the little box with the arrow coming out of it (bottom right)
where it says "grab the html" choose your size
copy paste HTML tag here in your thread response.

spellcheck & PREVIEW to make sure it worked, then post reply.

Also, very cool rooftopping. I read your sort on your blog. Pretty sweet that your work gave you roof access, even if it was on the DL. Lets see some shark pictures next time...

I'll play with it and see if I can't figure the photo posting out.

And thanks! Some of the people at my work are cool with me being up there but there are some who wouldn't be, but it's worth the risk. And concerning the sharks, I didn't have my camera out on the way up and on the way down, I attempted to photograph a shark by my lens had fogged up due to the temp and humidity differences. =p But I do want a shark photo from the view of the stairs.

I back-clicked (highlighted) this link in blue, which I got from your post.

http://farm8.stati...3_edb3f829d3_n.jpg

Then I clicked the little picture of the mountains in the above header.

Then I changed the numbers to 800 and 600.

That's it.

thats why I said click the preview button before posting. if the photo didn't show up and all you're getting is code then you didn't do it right and it'll save you from posting just code and no photo. keep trying. it takes a couple of times before getting it.

The mountains show up in a little box at the top when you hit "post reply".

Grab the BBCode not the HTML. Below the size there are three options: Embed, HTML and BBCode, choose the BBCode that usually works for me.

So, I went up to the 3rd floor(was allowed up this time. Went up with a couple Aquarium employees. Being a photographer at the Aquarium helps as saying "just want to get some stock photos" can get me a lot of places). Took some shots and here is what the view from and through the stairs to the roof looks like. I threw in a couple shark shots just for excitement as well.

Looking over the shark tank, a view from the stairs.

Thanks guys! Glad you liked them. =) Not often an urban explorer deals with sharks, haha.

And again, thank you to everyone who helped me figure out how to post photos from Flickr!
