...what does your UER default photo say about you? What is the story behind it?

Many of you have some awesomely creative ones, especially the ones where your faces are hidden.

The story behind mine is Six Flags New Orleans. It was taken in April 2012, on top of the ledge of a wooden roller coaster.

Mine is a photo that my brother took of me when I was fifteen. We wanted to make it look like I was taller than this old screwed up bridge by our house. The bridge itself has some really cool graffiti and it's great to explore, especially on the other side of the river.

If you are wise enough, my brothers, you will recognize my my avatar from the movies. If you dont, well then come and get a kick in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles...

I do find that this quote of quotes captures the feeling I get deep in my guttiwuts when I enter an abandonment for the first time. That is why it is my avatar picture.

“The trombones crunched redgold under my bed, and behind my gulliver the trumpets three-wise silverflamed, and there by the door the timps rolling through my guts and out again crunched like candy thunder. Oh, it was wonder of wonders. And then, a bird of like rarest spun heavenmetal, or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now, came the violin solo above all the other strings, and those strings were like a cage of silk round my bed. Then flute and oboe bored, like worms of like platinum, into the thick thick toffee gold and silver. I was in such bliss, my brothers.”

The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark.

A Through Z's reminds me of Tron.

I love riding sport bikes but I love it even more so when I am riding fast so I began racing last year.

Mine was a long exposure shot in an old ammunition bunker. About killed my camera taking this shot. The room was pitch-black and I set the tripod on a loose rock. Walking back to the camera I stepped on the rock and flipped my tripod+camera.

Agreed!

Now for a question.. To upload the shot as my profile picture I had to resize it and it made it very unclear. How do you overcome that? None of your profile shots are unclear.

Mine is a crop from a photo from my old haunt, Byberry (Philadelphia State Hospital) back in 2006.
It was taken by a friend from New York when he came down with another friend to check out the asylum complex. (I haven't seen those two guys in a long time and I miss them terribly). It's a photo of all three of us sitting at a wooden circular picnic bench in an enclosed patient courtyard with seafoam green subway tile behind us. The first time I explored an abandoned building from this asylum was back in 1983 when I was only 14.
I have nothing but amazing memories from this place, may it rest in pieces.

That is kind of tricky. I myself went to my facebook profile and uploaded my normal sized default. From there, I viewed the picture in my album WITHOUT clicking into it, I dragged the mouse on it and right-clicked it.
When the photo file was saved it was a tiny file on my computer.

Not sure if that helps you, but that's how I did it. You could also message MODERATOR RATICUS. He offered to help me resize it when I was new here. Maybe any moderator on here could assist you, just ask.

I have not seen Tron, although, I do wish I knew what y'all are talking about.

This was originally going to be my photo, but I decided to keep it more UE related:

This will sound stupid, but mine is from TMNT. I grew up with it and when my grandpa died, I got back into it for comfort.

So as stupid as it may seem, it has a lot of meaning to me.

I'm wearing my father's leather jacket from when he entered college in 1972, and am looking up at the massive symbol of my hometown, a very famous tower, on a gray day in my hometown. It really expresses the bleakness and cold steel feeling of this town, which was once a sprawling industrial center, and now an explorer's playground.

See 7:20 in. Don't bother skipping ahead though. It's worth the wait.

No matter how many times I watch this I still think it's the epitome of animation.

I was originally going to go with the "Don't go down there, it's dark!" scene at 7:06, but since I'm more of a pervert than an explorer I figured the orange bra and panties were more appropriate.
