This disused power station was once a coal fired monster. Owned by Belgium's Electrobel it was mothballed in the early 2000s and then finally taken out of service in 2006.

Visited with a non UER member. First the obligatory trip to the cooling tower, ducking underneath its hulking exterior, we get some shots up from the base, whilst getting soaked with mud from the small lake that had gathered beneath it from two months of rain. Next we scale the interior to the beautiful site of the tower rising up above us (also the rather less beautiful site of the open door we could have just walked in through...)
More photos inside and then a swift drive around the back of the power plant to our entry. With security parked in full view of it. We swiftly make our way past the dog unit security van and into the entry port. Inside is the expected epicness (although diminished somewhat now from earlier reports, sadly) although we forgo some of the downstairs, as another dog unit van is outside, and we can hear the agitated barks of an alsatian. The way out was the same as the way in, except now there are two security vans parked outside. We once again walk past them without them seeing us at all. Just before we reach the top of the road (well away from the entrance), another security man drives past us, slows right down, then speeds off angrily, beeping his horn and yelling in French at the two security vans. What, us, guv? Le power plant? Non! Une petite balade!

Been to this place in july 2013, it was a nice explore. We got caught by the security at the end of our exploration, but they just showed us the door and escorted us outside the premises. No big deal about that
