Awesome article about what Detroit plans to do with over 80,000 buildings, I thought I would share this.

If anyone wants to plan a trip to Detroit, I'm in.

Detroit is actually a small town in Idaho. That link is full of lies.

God, I wish, it'd be less boring and I could afford a house.

Detroit is a meca for ue activity. the result of decades of mayors and city counsel lining their pockets instead of doing what they were elected to do.

One thing that is amazing about this area is that it can go from beauty to blight to beauty again not only by the block, but by the house at times.
There are a pair of very small houses about a mile from me that illustrate this point perfectly. One is vacant, broken into from all sides, completely trashed (you can see this plainly from the road as all windows and doors are wide opened) and marred by all sorts of graffiti. Over grown grass and weeds are in front and presumably in back as well.
Right next door, literally 7 feet or less away, is a well cared for home w/ a clean cut lawn, plants on the porch and all the appearances of a tidy little old lady's domicile (I don't know who actually lives in it, but that's the best way I can describe it)
There is no fence or barrier of any kind between the two. I've seen areas in Germany where you can walk several blocks and be in a ghetto, then walk several more blocks and be in the suburbs; in Detroit, take 2 steps and you're in the ghetto, take 2 steps back and you're out of it again!

this is propaganda by the Chinese-controlled American government and media.

have you ever been to Detroit? has anyone? it doesn't even exist, it is a made-up city and where it is supposed to be is really just a field with a barn and an old dog sitting outside. I know because I snuck through the perimeter and saw it with my own eyes, and took pictures. the myth of Detroit is a giant conspiracy and all the things like the Detroit Tigers baseball team are filmed on a sound-stage in Hollywood California.

All the "photographs" of abandoned Detroit are made by Disney Studios and Pixar. In fact in a lot of them you can see Wall-E and other cartoon characters peeking through windows and around corners.

lol

BTW the reason all of the vacant structures are being razed is because it increases the fire load for the DFD wich is already taxed to their limits.

also their starting with houses, then to buisness structures and then to large structures like packard.

It's all true. I've been to where Detroit is supposed to be and there is just a huge void. Don't bother going there you won't find anything. Just void.

By the way, this whole article is horse shit. They haven't done anything and they still leave the water on in buildings that are abandoned.

If you kept up to date with Detroit you'd know Packard has been bought by a developer and will NOT be torn down.

I hate using the quote feature and like to make all the children in America cry every time I post one of my weird non-quoted quotes.

please quote using the built-in quote reply. it's easy, just click "reply with quote" and edit down to the parts you want.
