A couple days ago i found an abandoned house only a few blocks from my house and im excited since it will be my first ue. Its a small rancher style house. Last night i was pretty drunk and at 3 in the morning i got excited and wanted to scout it out. I found an entrance to the place, stepped inside and got pretty spooked (i have a crazy imagination unfortunately lol,) i also wanted to wait until i have my boots and respirator. No idea how old the place is, i guess 30ish years and no idea how long its been abandoned, a very strong musty smell emitted from the place as soon as i opened the door. I hope to go back there to explore in a few days.

I'm mostly proud of the fact that I took a usable shot, at night, at a long shutter speed, handheld, while shitfaced.

Our little grill is pretty sweet but not as sweet as that makeshift filing cabinet drawer and paper tray grill yall made!

We forgot cooking utensils so we ended up using my KaBar to flip the burgers and turn the sausages hahahah

And don't let the photos mislead you. It does not have to be night time for you to get hammered drunk at an abandonment party.

Reading Moses Gates's "Hidden Cities," I thought this was apt:

We come to a building covered in scaffolding, which Steve starts climbing up without even pausing to look around for cops. I don't really want to follow, mostly because I'm pretty drunk, but I feel obligated. So I start up the scaffolding.

And it's wonderful. Everything is easy. There's no freezing, no nervousness affecting me physically. It turns out there really is something to the expression "Dutch courage." I can't imagine why I haven't done this before.

Climbing while inebriated is something I really shouldn't recommend, but I will anyway. Now, I'm not talking about drunkenly trying to scale a rock wall at Yosemite or anything, but in those instances when the mental barriers are significantly greater than the physical barriers, the combination of booze and adrenaline can be magic. The mental barriers are washed away, while the physical barriers are still a long way away from being truly tested. (p. 79)

On the same note, I think having a drink or two beforehand can only improve your confidence and naturalness, which can in turn make conversations with suspicious security guards a little less awkward.

Being totally sozzled, with a can of beer in your hand, might be another matter. Then again, everybody can understand the drunk. Not everyone understands the ninja taking photos of their abandonment at 2 a.m.

So a kid that looks like he is 13 years old does underage drinking, gets drunk and drives to a place to do some trespassing and than comes here to brag about it.

Sounds like a very smart idea.

In case the get caught by the police, you will have at least a funny mugshot and some lawyer will make a lot of money of you.

Construction helmet, check.
Annoying headlamp shining in everyone's face, check.
Respirator with fresh charcoal cartridges, check.
Sideways stick up ass, check...
