So right now, I'm pretty drunk. It kind of got me thinking about what you're guys rules are about exploring while intoxicated in any way. Personally, I've never explored while drunk or high, and if somebody in our group is intoxicated, we make them stay home, so they won't get hurt.

On this board though, I've seen people talking about exploring while inebriated, so I was wondering what your guy's views on that stuff are. I would probably try exploring high before exploring drunk, but that's just because I handle myself a lot better on weed, since I've been smoking since I was fourteen, as opposed to drinking, which I've been doing for less than a year, since I was eighteen.

Laugh all you want. This is a serious post though. I really want to know not because I went to explore while high or anything, but I'm just wondering whether I'm being to cautions and a pussy about this shit.

Completely depends on a number of variables; the type of explore, location, time of the day, part of the world you're exploring, etc..
Buildings/underground with little to no risk, hell yeah; beers and bowls. Higher profile sites/sites with active security, maybe not so much.
Visiting MSP? It's mandatory.

It all comes down to what you're comfortable with and whether or not you plan to get stupid-ass drunk.
If i'm out during the late afternoon or evening, i typically partake in one or the other, or both.. Unless it's morning or early afternoon, beers are always an option for me.

Oh, don't forget the PCP. Ever climb a crane on PCP? It's invigorating.

I make sure I have had at least a fifth of whiskey before exploring.

It's state law. We don't have a choice.

It all comes down to knowing your limits. Over here it's become kind of a ritual when I meet new people to have more than a couple drinks before visiting a nearby active subway tunnel. I also generally have one beer before climbing a crane and bring one beer to drink at the top.

I do at least some beforehand vetting of others to make sure the people are responsible enough to handle their alcohol, as I did have one guy flip at me out on a rooftop because I wouldn't let him walk out on a narrow ledge when he was so drunk he could barely walk straight.
