Did a nice mini road trip to this little school. Decent finds along the route and great colors here makes for happy exploring. The recent snow storm made for some slippery and muddy hallways!

Oh, I really like this set!!!
I especially love the smaller schools because the rooms still reflect the autonomy of the teachers. A while ago, our classrooms were our own to decorate if we chose to, at our own expense, of course.
But it shows in these older, small community schools.
You do such a nice job getting shots that give us the feel of a place.

What's with the plywood casket? Old haunted house prop, maybe?

No, winter is the best UE time! No ticks, no mosquitoes, not as much poison ivy, and less chance of running into squatters. The only real downside to winter is leaving footprints in the snow that show where you've been...

It's a natural progression for an old school.
Gets closed.
Community debates what to do with it.
It sits empty and starts to go downhill.
Someone opens it up on Halloween as a haunted house.
"Wait, there's asbestos in there!"

Then it becomes our domain.

Snow makes everything better! ; ) These are great shots and I really like 3 & 7. I was wanting to do some exploring on my trip but I have found so many train possibilities I doubt it will happen. Very nice work, keep them coming! : )

Aw, man! Sorry to hear that. Although I hope the move was a good thing from your standpoint.

And hey, you never know, I get to travel for work about four times a year, and I always try to add some explore time onto each trip. Depending on where you are, we might wind up on a joint explore after all.

Yeah, it's the snakes, ticks and chiggers that cut into my exploring time!
Thus the little tagline that's always been on the bottom of my posts

Thanks @ Hootie, Punchy, and Benched.

@ iliamo1986 - yes...there were a few others, too.

haha @ Never_sleep We'll take it!!

@ Ken - indeed! there was even a furnace painted pink. I did not get some redecorating ideas.

As long as it's no snow or ice on the roads, I prefer winter, too. No fucking wasps, just their abandoned nests ;)
