This isn't a phase... I'm a filmmaker combining two of my hobbies together. Not everybody wants to follow the herd and take pictures. Just because there is yet to be a good series of UE videos, doesn't mean that its impossible to make.
Ya' just gotta keep trying until you get it right. It can make a good show if properly executed. I know what I'm getting myself into.

By all means do what ya do. I see two ways this can turn out; pander to the lowest common denominator and get the non explorer viewers or make a show for explorers that is too niche that the non exploring market just doesn't care and the viewer rating suffers.

Uhg, why, just why? Please don't main stream UE anymore then it already is...fucking christ....

It depends what you want to do with it…

1. Are you trying to make a show that appeals to mostly explorers?
2. Are you trying to make a show that appeals to a wider, mass audience?
3. Are you trying to combine the two audiences?
4. Are you just trying to have fun and film your experiences and whoever watches it watches it?

I'm a videographer myself… photographers have their books, shows, etc. they can do to sell their stuff.
Videographers are a minority here, and definitely catch a lot of slack from others, but honestly, that's the equivalent for video work.

I believe there is a way to bridge the gap, which is what I'm currently trying to do. I've got about 50-60 minutes of a rough cut for a documentary hybrid. I think it's pretty sweet, but we shall see what happens when it drops.

I say, do what you want.

I am with A to Z on the BooB issue.

Someone should make a general youtube account, and people send them little clips and compilations and then they upload them, kind of like how people skateboard and then have videos of them doing shit on channels that they don't own themselves, if that makes any sense.

You can see the average view time for your videos. My videos are typically around 25-30 minutes in length, but my average view time is only 2 and a half minutes, lol.

It depends. Youtube loads fast on most mobile devices, unlike Vimeo.

Also, it's spelled "[*They're*] here, and [*they're*] watching." (they + are = they're).

My videos reach a wider audience on YouTube than Vimeo. They also show up on YouTube in a google search before the link for Vimeo.
