I broke up with my girlfriend some years ago, but we got back together pretty quickly. Ever since then, she's jokingly called me an "abandoner" from time to time. It's also sort of apropos given my hobby. When I made a tumblr page recently to start sharing some of my UE pics, ABANDONR seemed like a natural choice, playing off the omission of the "e" in tumblr.

I had a dog named Dougo and after it died I took on its name as a sign of respect.

Hell yeah. Great band. Deloused, Frances The Mute and Amputechture are friggin' amazing.

My username is more aspirational than anything: so far in my life, I have not run very many tunnels, and the ones I have gone through have always been with the proper authorization (as opposed to just finding some and going in). I tried to pick just "TunnelRunner" but it was taken, so I then gravitated to 33, which has always been kind of a meaningful number to me.

I will be excited the first time I truly EARN my name in an Urban Exploration context. And there will be pictures as well!

Back when memes were reserved for people who spend all day on the internet, rather than every high school kid and his grandma, there was a short-lived one called Hipster Kitty. I didn't really care for it, but that just has a nice ring to it. So, when the meme itself faded away, I stole its name for my own.

By the way, if you're going to shorten it, I much prefer Kitty. Don't call me Hipster.
