You're 12 years old???

Was 12, 13 now. And thanks I guess. It is nice having age on my side though. I got caught after exploring a place that people were arrested at like a week before, but the guy in charge just said "boys will be boys" and that he liked the pictures anyway. Won't work forever tho

Having a camera while being at a location (and being there to actually take photos of the place) is often very helpful with authorities no matter how old you are. My camera has gotten me out of more than one jam!

Gotta get in while the getting's good. I started exploring at 16, and while being young is often a disadvantage in some ways, it'll also make it wat easier to talk your way out of getting caught- and if you are, minors get a slap on the wrist compared to what adults get for the same offense. Take full advantage of that while you can. I know my age helped get me out of an encounter with a cop from exploring.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

I never got the chance to use my age to get out of a sticky situation before I was 18 But hey! At least some people may be more open to exploring with me.

Sorry for the grammar I'm typing on a phone.

I went to a construction site of a 2 story house at late dusk to film some stuff, so i take my pictures and film some interesting stuff and went to the roof to photograph/film the sun set so i start filling and taking photos 15 minutes later I was switching some settings then... (keep in mind that the the roof was around 3 prs off the ground) and the little piece of Wood that I had my feet on gave out and I started sliding fast towards the ledge and the only thing that stopped me from falling to the concrete was a flimsy wood trimming at the ledge, let's just say I didn't go on that roof again...

So that was my oh shit moment I hope you enjoyed.

Not dangerous, just made my skin crawl. Was in a nurse's dormitory yesterday testing out new equipment when I noticed a staircase leading to the basement. Friend and I head into the stairwell with our phone lights on, and I start to notice the light around me dim. Friend had stopped following me, and I had gotten to the lower landing when I hear him say, "NO."

I turn and ask what the problem is, and he just repeats, "NO!" I turn around, and see these three HUGE black crickets on the wall. I say to come on, it's just a few bugs, and he just gestures in front of me. I turn and shine my light around, and see that the door I'm standing next to is covered in the things. So yeah, for the next few days, every minor sensation on my skin is crickets.

Haven't had too many, but the biggest one happened last year when my friend and I heard a motorcycle WAY too close to us and saw that it was a cop. We ducked out, thinking he never saw us, and then walked down a sidewalk to our car. Two seconds later we heard a motorcycle drive up onto the sidewalk and stop right behind us.

Wow - I haven't been on here in a while. My 'Oh shit' moment was certainly this one:
http://www.uer.ca/....asp?storyid=10403

To paraphrase, our entry to this abandoned psychiatric hospital was discovered by police who patrolled the area. A portion of the campus was in active use, and a few of the buildings on the property were abandoned. We watched from 17 stories up, as a maintenance vehicle came over and the driver sealed up our entrance, as two cops entered the building.

Long story short, we had to rappel out of the third floor (which I did a bad job of, narrowly escaping with both of my legs intact). Thankfully, this was a long, long time ago.

I came back to this site because that same building had a fire started by some irresponsible kids, and it resulted in a massive fire department response, where 7 people were trapped in the building, two of which were on a 15+ story roof.

Here's the story:https://13wham.com...le-trapped-on-roof

This story feels unfinished to me.., a “to be continued,” perhaps?

Last time on, adventures with UrbanDK...

No, but really, nothing exciting happened afterwards. Needless to say, he was really upset; gave us the whole "Do you realize that I could handcuff you right now?" speech, told us that if he saw us or any of our friends there again he would arrest us, and ended it with "Get out of here before I change my mind". His tone of voice was very close to a yell the whole time. Called us knuckleheads. Our feelings were hurt but we walked off just fine other than that.

I have two:

1: Walking off trail to get a shot of a canyon near Moab, picture was meh (underexposed the film) but the walk back I heard a rattle and a tug on the sweater I brought just incase the night got too cold. It was a GOD DAMN RATTLESNAKE fangs deep in my sweater I had tied around the strap of my backpack. Of course I flipped out and started running like a maniac and it somehow detached itself.

2: Best friend and I were exploring a new building near completion in downtown Nashville. It was a warm Saturday night fresh after a storm so the clouds were starting to part with the city light glow. We were easily up there for two hours in addition to the ascent and descent. As I was wrapping up shots we heard a loud bang, started booking as quietly as possible down 100+ flights of stairs. Half way down we see a fresh wet boot print on the stair which was way bigger than any of our shoes. We kept hearing rustling until we got down to the sub level were we could slip over the fence. I'm pretty sure I shat myself, can't vouch for my friends' drawers though.

no god! please no! nooooooooooooo
