Hospital on the river has been abandoned since2008 and is set for demo some time in 2014. Homeless roam around the area because it is a place of shelter that is not crowded...the areas displaced population is tremendous. My sister and i decided to check it out at the end of summer and it was the most fun i have had exploring 1.

Ahhh, modern hospitals are my favorite things to explore. Totally jealous that this isn't in my neck of the woods. Nice set!

I've passed by there a ton, but never really looked into it, how bad is it falling apart and how hard is it to get in (on a level of 1-10)

Apparently that DID just happen. And I AM proud of it

Hospital on a river, what a waste of a nice view.

Luxury condos and fancy restaurants coming soon!

You gotta be kidding me... I just came here to post about a hospital being turned into a hotel, and here I find your pic of a hospital being torn down.

*bangs head on wall*
*bangs head on floor*

I was in Knoxville a couple of months ago. This lovely thing caught my attention instantly, but I couldn't quite make sure if it was 100% empty at that point and decided to just keep driving (I had noticed there were renovating that awesome bridge! I couldn't help myself!). I was only there for one night, but boy, Knoxville is an amazing place to explore! Love your town!
Very cool set of shots!
