Gainesville Flour Mill has been sitting pretty well untouched for 50 years. I have received permission from the owner to go in and do photography in the building capturing it as it stands. It will be all access to all 8 floors plus the roof. If anybody is interested please let me know. Right now we are looking at going in in about 2 weeks, on a weekend. Probably from 4pm-10pm (Night shots!!)

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

We're stuck in a holding pattern with the owners right now. This isn't Disney World and I'm not willing to pay the same price to get in for an ungarunteed amount of time. I'll pay them in beer. Like a six pack. Let's face it, it's a old building that has set empty for 50 years. Yes it was used as a whorehouse at one point and yes it was used by coca cola in the 80's but I don't wipe my ass with 20's. Plenty of other cool places here I can blow my time at. Old POW camp and all sorts of shit.

It angers me when people change the terms of entry 2 days before we are supposed to go in. (That was last Thursday. I was taking the first people who RSVP'd yesterday)

I'll update this thread when I get solid agreeable details.

well i would have no problem paying the owner to get inside (and i know a few others who would be more than willing to do the same)
so why dont you let them know you have a group that is interested and set it up?
and the fact that it has been empty 50 years is the very reason most of us want to get in there...

Dude. Rinzler and I would probably go (if he doesn't, I will make him...hahaha), but I don't know how far Gainesville is from me. But, I think it looks like you're not taking any more people?

I should be speaking to the owners again in the next few days. I'm ready to get in there, hell I have to drive by it 4-5 times daily. Starting to haunt my dreams.
