we did a personal tour with the two tour guides.

they didnt "rush us" per say, but my other friend who went and myself both said after we left that being "showed around" did make us feel a tad rushed. It felt rude to be like "oh hold on, gotta re adjust...wait one more minute..." So i do feel like I was hurrying a bit to be polite since they where showing US around. They where very very sweet and full of endless knowledge and I felt like I ended up getting involved in deep convo about this kirkbride and all the others and perserving it and kept forgetting to shoot, so i did end up with a small set too.

well thats most likely why you got in you showed them respect, that is really great that they are into saving the building and that you came away with such a positive experience.

the guy at Traverse City is nice that way as well!!

I haven't heard much of Minny in a couple months with all the demo talk. Anyone else know what's going on. I'm glad they let you get these shots, which are delicious by the way. Hold on let me pick my favorite...um....one thru all of em!

I toured this place a few months ago and it's truly epic. The tour guides were awesome. One of them had the duty to keep all the laggers together, and he was constantly telling us tidbits the group didn't get to hear, and showing us rooms they hadn't been shown. It was pretty amazing, I recommend everyone tour this place that can, because the city of Fergus Falls wants to tear down about 50% of the out-buildings.

Well the images are absolutely incredible, under those circumstances! You seriously make the kirk worth saving. The warm light entering from the windows makes me want to stand there, or imagine activity within.

I could quote every response here and use bits and pieces of each to say what I was thinking. Amazing place, great shots, and great work documenting it all.
