Contacted here as well. If it's a scam, which I doubt, they went through a hell of a lot of trouble setting up that site with its extensive content.

I got an email from them, too. I responded, but haven't heard anything back from them...

Sorry we haven't been in touch for a few days. Crossfire - sorry I didn't get back to you at all, I do try to keep on top of things but as it said on my school report I am easily distracted !!

I promise you we are not scammers or anything like that. We have been working our socks off to make sure we get "The Dead Place" just right.

I have got a link for you, to alleviate your worries. It looks different from the old site and this section is not up and running yet (we have just posted it for testing of links etc), hopefully the full site (ghosthunting bit) will be up to join it in about 2 weeks.

Please feel free to have a look around and let us know before we officially link it up to the other sections of the NEW site. Let me know also, if I have mis-typed any of the links to you or if theres anything you don't like

Also, could you guys read through the introduction bit and tell me if it's OK. I am new to the whole UE thing and want make sure I have got all the details right and haven't just bumbled my way through it.

By building this site with our work on it they can get our credit card numbers and clone our DNA!!!!! Only yesterday they kidnapped my brother, Eric!!!

I can see your concerns about the spam thing.

For public everyday stuff like that I always list my Yahoo! address - the spam filters there are pretty damn good. Well, at least - 99% of complete crap is removed - the odd thing gets past now and again.

I think the site is very cool. I like the layout, although it is a bit odd.
I replied to the Ghostlights email and apologized for implying that it was a scam of sorts.
It was just the first thing out of my mouth after I realized that everyone, not just me was getting these emails.
I'm nothing special, but usually when you get a personal contant about "your work" and then find everyone else got it too, something is up.
As turbo pointed out, there's not much in the way of scamming that could be done.
As I said, I apologized to these folks, even though it was just an off the cuff comment. I also didn't expect THD's journal entry to be a forum for this.
