#1. Went to go check out T.I.L. the other day, we didn't go in or anything, but its been pretty boring not being able to explore sunset beach. From what I heard the place is now a local hangout for cops, not to mention that rent-a-cop there now. I spent some time building a treehouse, and I'm devoted to that for the time being. But I PM'ed Kbasa, maybe he wants to check out Sunset Beach or The Infamous Loop, or maybe we can go to the end of the Big Dissapointment here soon, I hope so because this is about to go down as one of the worst summers ever.

This afternoon I went by Sunset Beach in Golden, and met the owner. He was a Russian guy, with 4 of his grandkids helping him clean the place up. He bought it recently for a couple million dollars, and I am happy for him. Its about time they cleaned that place up. He told me how the little shitheads who vandalize the place are making him do even more work than he has to do. I even offered to help him out, it just pissed me off how much those damn neighborhood kids fucked the place up. He is trying to build a soccer feild indoors, and rip out the pool to put down a feild. While I do kind of miss exploring that place, I am happy its going to get used for something, and I wished him luck and took off. I'll probably stop by, I might be able to go take some pictures with his supervision, that would be awesome.

Didn't do much today. I drove by the Regency, saw some graffiti on the window of the top story, so I assume there is a way in.

Came back from checking out the Big Dissapointment. I thought about bringing a camera, but after what some people posted I decided not to. After a bowl of greens, we went in. I didn't go as far as I thought, because it felt like I'd been down there for days. I'll try it again tomorrow maybe.

I went again today, and got scared shitless. Heres an account of my story that I posted in the forum.
--------------------------
Ok, so like I said, tactical and I went back the other day when we had nothing to do. We could only dig up one flashlight, but to me, thats all we needed. We were'nt going in that far anyway, only to the Master Room. Well, we walked in, and got to the master room in no time. It seemed like a short lived trip, so we pressed on through the Tunnel that was the dissapointment. We pressed on through the tunnel, being as brave as we were, and we were about 15 minutes in to the tunnel away from the Master Room, when the flashlight dimmed. I was the only one that noticed, and I said "We should turn back, I think the lights crapping out". Funny I said that just then, because 3 seconds later, the light was dead. And we had no other light. Not good. We were down there, a good 30 minutes in to the tunnel, with no light, no cell reception for emergencys, and poor sense of direction. It was terrorizing. Now, I know people who say that they aren't scared of anything, but this was worse than being caught by the cops down there. We slowly turned in the other direction and walked back, trying to keep our cool. We both slipped numerous times, I even cut myself pretty deep on the RCP. We kept our cool, for about 6 minutes. Thats when we heard voices of what sounded like somebody coming up the tunnel. We stayed quiet for about a minute or two, and the voices kept coming closer. All I could Identify was that they were both male, and both sounded older. Finally, I stood up and yelled "Hello?"
The voices stopped for a second, and I heard "Who the f--- is that?" At the point, we ran back in to the tunnel as fast as we could. I fell once, and cut up my face kind of bad. After we ran for a while, we climbed a manhole and popped it. We came out at the manhole above the bus stop at the Colorado Mills, and we didn't stop there, we ran all the way to Best Buy. We kind of laughed it off, and my guess (and still is) that it was probably a bunch of stoners just walking around down there, with nothing else to do. Although, after that, I'm going to lay off the Big Dissapointment for a while. I have the feeling security at the Colorado Mills saw us pop the manhole, but I'm not sure of it. Anyway, the reason I bring this before all of you is, anybody thinking of a return trip, maybe wait a bit. Try something like T.I.L. and bring a backup flashlight from now on.
thx, -SnArF and Tactical
-------------------------------
Yeah, it was scary. Maybe I'll try something else here later, but I'm laying off the dissapointment for a while.

I'm going downtown later to see John Kerry talk about running for president. If I convince my friend to bring a flashlight, we'll check out phantom creek.

So I went to see John Kerry Downtown today. It was pretty cool, except a whole bunch of white-trash conservatives wouldn't shut the hell up. I wish I had a paintball gun or some eggs or something to throw at them, but I flipped them the bird, and all they could say is "real mature, man." Assholes. Anyway, as for the UE side, I found some tenement-like apartments, they looked pretty run-down, and I'm not sure if they were abandoned or not, but I might go find out. We didn't get a chance at Phantom Creek today, there was too much rain. Might try again some other time.
