-=Monday June 14=-
Just started up my journal. (duh) Since I didn't UE today, I'll recap my experiences At JT Berry. The first time I went, I got ousted by security after just a half hour. It was my first UE ever, and I had rode my bike 8, maybe 9 miles to get there. I had no flashlight, so I could only really check out one building, the power house, where there was some scattered light. As I walked out of the power house, security pulled up on patrol just at the time I walked into the open. End of Trip one.

Second time up I had a friend and he had a car (thankfully) and we found some trails leading behind the complex which made it really easy to get in un noticed. We explored a basement and were moving onto the gym. To get in, I was trying to go through the roof which was only one story up at on part. As I'm halfway up, security is making its way down the road to me and my friend, so I drop from the side of the building and we run into the woods. Now it had been raining since we pulled up in the car so running through a feild then into the saftey of the woods drenched us more than we had been simply by walking around. As we were making our way back on the trails to leave, wet and dejected, we got lost and wasted half an hour walking a big loop around some marshland. When we were finally on the right trail again, we passed the power house and green house. Now with a flashlight, I wanted to see more of the awsomely cool powerhouse and show my friend. What happens as we walk towards it out of the woods? Security rolls around. After we ran out of veiw of security again, we called it quits and headed home.

Finally, I got to go again with a few different people. We went straight to the power house from the trails and this time made it in. It was awsome inside now that I had a flashlight. We spent a half hour or more just looking around the boilers and machinary. We heard security drive by once or twice. Unfortunatly, that was all we had time for and needed to leave. Rather than security chasing us out that night, it was the bugs. Luckily though, security's patrols didn't cross our path once that night. Definately a boost to my confidence. Can't wait to make a fourth trip out sometime.

-=Wednesday June 16=-
Went into a big abandoned mill today. We went in through the basement which was very long and sark until we finally found a staircase up. It had to be the only staircase in the whole building... Once we got to the first floor it was great. The inside of the mill was gutted (I think there was a fire way back when) so there were no floors above us and large chunks of roof missing. There was some moss and even some small plants growing from the floor. We looked in just about every room that was there, they were all big and airy, nice open windows, really gorgeous. I should have taken my camera... Anyway, while we were climbing up some nearly non-existant stairs behind a boiler, two guys with ties walked in. When my friend told me that there was someone with a blue shirt was in here with us, I figured it was a homeless guy that had been asleep or something. I peered out and it was two buisnessmen, walking into one of the rooms we had allready been in. We slunk back down into the basment and came out the back window. When we walked around front, there was a new car that wasn't there before. I peered around inside to see if it was a cop car, but all I saw was a disney story book. As we walked past the building heading home, we passed the ajar door that the buisnessmen had entered through. I was starteing to peer in to see where the two were, maybe ask them what they were doing and see what was up when I heard form behind "Hey!! You're not going in there, are you?" I turned around and there were two different buisness ment standing around the car we were just peering into. I yelled back "no" and we walked off. Somehow we had been lucky enough to miss getting caught on two occasions. I'm definately looking foward to heading back and getting some shots though.
