The Planets
The Constellations

Both are by James (now Jennifer) Finney Boylan. Both are amusing reads. Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods also has some info about Centralia, though it is non-fiction.

I first learned of this town after reading a Dean Koontz short story called 'Strange Highways'. The story is set in the fictitious town of Coal Valley, just north of the also fictitious town of Asherville. Certain historical facts (like the town names) are changed, but it's based on Centralia's very real plight.
