This place was a BIG DEAL to a young married (and impoverished) couple in 1986! When my hub got a new job and had to wear a suit every day, we made the trek up there from Atlanta to buy him three Palm Beach suits. My uncle lived in Knoxville at the time, and gas was cheap (less than a buck a gallon), so it was a cheap trip (except for the suits - they were a mind-numbing, bank account busting $90 each!).
