So I was with a friend of mine last night and we ended up on the subject of Lowry - Apparently he had spent a lot of time out there right when the base was abandoned and explored a lot of the buildings that are now gone and got to know the place pretty well. We were talking about the drainage system there (the dam of a sort, and the intake tower) and entry to that and he brought up the subject of a network of fallout tunnels that seemed rather expansive (from the sound of it, they ran under the whole base - including under the golf course) - He mentioned to me that he had taken a look at a tunnel network but ended up going in 50 feet or so before turning around as he didn't have a flashlight. He did tell me that he knew some guys who ventured in there at one point and ended up coming across a bunch of weapon parts and old supplies and such down there and I'd love to check it out, so I'm going to head over there one weekend with him. However, I'm intrigued if anyone else has ever heard of such a system, or has any information on it? I've been out there for a few years and have never heard about such things nor seen any indication to such a system. I'm trying to figure out whether it's actually a fallout tunnel network, or just part of their drainage or sewage system.
