Main Building Flooding

The last time my friends and I visited Broadacres, it was Saturday, March 18, 2006. There was still a good amount of snow on the ground, and thus, it was still freezing.

We happened to notice that some of the upper-level floors in the Main Building were covered with a nice layer of ice. Eventually ruling out the source, my friend Brian determined that some of the pipes in the walls had frozen over the winter, thus cracking. When a brief thaw set in, the pipes began spewing out water all over the floors. Then, the place froze over again, contributing to the layer of ice that we saw. (Yes, the water is still on in various parts of the building). Some of the added-on, lowered push-up ceilings in a few rooms on the upper floors have also begun to collapse.

Anyways, that being said, the main building’s going to hell awfully fast; most likely at a more rapid rate than ever seen before. All hell's going to break loose there, now that the ice is probably melted and the pipes are flooding the place, nonstop. Coupled with the electricity that’s still on in select parts of the building, this makes for a deadly combination, so please be careful, and beware!

It was flooding when I visited in February... it was raining at the time so I just assumed it was due to the heavy rainfall outside, though in the main building one pipe was just gushing water out like mad.

Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.

Yeah, I can't imagine what the place looks like now; it must be a waterlogged, dripping mess. Oneida County must be paying a TON when it comes to their Broadacres water bill. You'd think that they would take a closer look at their bills and realize that something must be wrong. I mean, c'mon...an abandoned building with a huge water bill...it doesn't take an idiot to understand that something's not right.

I guess the only plus side to this is how beautiful everything will be when it all freezes over for the winter.

I'm gonna bring this to my Aunts attention, she works for the county. Safety or not, it's such a waste.

I'm assuming all of you saw the business placards in Jensen hall? Ironically the old building was the last to have any commercial usage.

I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying.

Update: The water is now off, from what I can tell.
