it reminds me very much of the malt plant in toronto -- i guess all places with "bins" are basically the same.

looks very similar to Montreal Malt Plant and Silos No3, No4 and No5. A silo is a silo... always similar, always cool.

Come down to the US sometime, and look around the entire midwest sometime. There are alot of these grain storage silos from one border, to the other. Most of them are active, so be careful if you come down to explore.

the place was actually much smaller then the malt plant and silo #s.. they had a big building next to the silo tubes which was pretty cool. It was one of my favourite places in winnipeg when I was there.

I used to love the view of the city from the top of the old Five Roses Flour. The wooden stairs that lead from main floor to the top was so sketchy, yet after a few steps it "seemed" somewhat safe... enough. There was not a whole lot to really see or do in Five Roses, but it was still someplace neat to check out.
