This thread will contain meetup information for Oak Knoll this Sunday (2/19/06).

I plan on arriving at 10 a.m. and will be entering through the Southwest quadrant near Club Knoll (where my favorite entry point is).

If anybody would like to meet at a central location, I'd like to propose the bowling alley at 10:30 a.m. We can try to get into the alley from there to start off.

It's on the attached link:

Awesome! I should note that I tried every ground perimeter entrance imaginable, so it won't be a cinch getting into the alley (maybe under the foundations??? there were a few crawlspaces)

If anyone has climbing gear to get to a roof, there might be access through a vent in the ceiling, but I'm only working off of the satellite image.

Doors are secured with simple nails/crossbars in some places, and in others the actual built-in locks to the doors.

HA HA. Now we're talkin'. Sounds Fun. Who knows what that building might surprise us with. I'm looking forward to seeing inside it. I hear stories of bowling alleys with pins strewn across the floor.... *salivates.*

That meet location sounds good to me. 1030 Is earlier than i had planned on, but i don't think that will be a problem.

I can bring some rope as well, 35 feet might not be enough.

Are the windows screwed down? or nailed? (could we do what we did at amtrack?)

We go in on the north side. AFAIk this forum area still falls under the "post no entry details" rule... just fyi.

Ahhh... thx for the reminder. I tried to keep my entry details relatively generalized down to the quadrant. I don't think ERic was too specific either, but good call on that.

Yeah, about the bowling alley, they were definitely nails, so if we wanted to put them back, I'm guessing it would require a hammer, which can also be loud, unless we buffered the impact with a towel or something (maybe a rubber mallet).

HA HA> maybe we can get Jessica (the girl who lives in OK Hospital) to come with her equipment and help us out. I joke

... not sure how technical you guys get with your personal guidelines as far as entry goes, but I'm fine with pulling out a few nails, as long as we put them back as they were, so you won't find me protesting to that.

It's no problem if your groups gettin too big for its own good and I can't come along.. no hard feelings.

If it is OK for me to come, I'll need some specific information from someone on where exactly this place is, maybe someone can PM me the information. I haven't got a car so I'm not sure what the best way would be to get there.

*EDIT*
I missed tunnelbugs link at the top, scratch the directions.

My bad. I thought this forum was L3.

Apologies, all.

StickVortex: I'll call you tomorrow. If you can meet me at a BART station, I can pick you up, and you can go with me for entry. The place is surrounded by a fence, so it'll help you to come with someone who knows some entry points.

Addendum:

That was odd. My posts for this thread don't show up on the "find all posts" icon, but non full members can reach it through a direct link... bug in the system??? I removed the link to this thread, so the only way of reaching it now is by going to the location DB and clicking on it.
