when the theatre first closed all artwork and fixtures were put into storage for later use by the city at united theatres/famous players request. speaking of theatre abandonnements, in dorval the famous players offices have closed, i know the old theatre 2 (in its final years the "empire") was gutted, the larger theatre 1 that was twinned in the 80s was restored to a single screen theatre is still surviving in there. be an interesting one to check out. dont know what will happen as the least that is on this place has 50 or so more years on it

Just a few of the beautiful murals done by Briffa. Some went missing unfortunately and others are in Museums... I'm gonna go and have a look though.
