I first heard about this house through a friend when I moved to Orlando. Then I got online to do some research about it, and in fact it eventually led me to UE sites and then this one. Anyway, right about the time I got in my mind to go see it I found out they had torn it down just a few months before. Very sad.

The only things remaining of the site are the sign (turned to its side) and an aluminum storage shed. The foundation has been removed. The reflecting pond's hole is still there, though.

I should build a Xanadu house in freakin' Celebration. Too bad it would cost more than the price at which the Xanadu house was listed.

I did drive out there the other day finally. The sign was still there but it was too dark to take a reasonable picture. We didn't stop or anything as there were a lot of people about. I didn't realize how close it is to all the other attractions in the area.

A friend of mine was going to purchase the building at one time to create a recording studio out of it. The moment he managed to actually find someone to ask about it they decided to raise the price. About right isn't it? They were planning to tear it down but as soon as they thought it could be sold the price went up... figures. Well, obviously he didn't buy it, his other discouraging factor was all the mold made in unpractical.
