I like hoarder houses, as in those houses that are full of interesting old things which can be looked at and admired and there is room to shoot things as well. But occasionally I find a house which is so totally rammed full of 'stuff' that it becomes nigh on impossible to make heads or tails of it all - and really hard to shoot.

This was one such place - it reminded me heavily of a house I shot last year which was in a similar state, however the difference was this house had a lot more in the way of what I'd call junk in it. I'm sure there were some really interesting things buried in the heaps of stuff but the sheer overwhelming nature of it, coupled with the really bad air quality inside thanks to rampant dampness meant we really didn't stay too long in here.

Places like this, whilst fascinating, I also find sad, as it makes me wonder what had to happen in the last occupant's life to allow things to spiral so far out of control. The upstairs was almost a total write-off, the bedrooms were so full of stuff strewn everywhere that it was impossible to do much in the way of photography. The downstairs living areas weren't quite as bad, only thanks to there being a lot more in the way of space.

I'm trying to take a little break from houses as I feel like I've done too many recently, but they are an always easy go-to if things aren't going to plan, so I doubt I'll ever really not explore them.
