I'm guessing on some of this information, so excuse me if I'm wrong...

Used between the 1940s and the 1970s, this enormous building was used as a steel shop for the Navy. The site served welders, shipfitters, and boilermakers.

Today, the site remains, awaiting development. However, due to recent controversy surrounding the area's supposed radioactivity, developmental plans have been delayed.

Exploring this place in the rain made for a surreal experience.

The reflections here are so surreal, you can just get lost in the geometry of the framing that's left. Awesome post!
