Page 41 mentions the remains. Another page mentions that there were above-ground power lines
feeding the site, so the local electrical utility may be a source of info.
Is there anyone in the area interested in going to this location, and taking a lot of close-up photos of any power & electrical panels, wiring, etc. inside, plus documenting as much of the basement level as possible? Also, walking the exterior perimeter and carefully looking for & documenting anything associated with the structure, such as detailed photos of what looks to be an old antenna mount as seen here: https://www.yelp.c...vV-RI8bA6yTI3XQjTg
It's a permanent-construction (meaning concrete, not wood) structure built in a remote & semi-hidden area (on land that was part of a private estate at the time). Built low to the ground, and with lots of windows, so not really a "bunker" per se. Contrary to the BS mentioned in the articles, it shouldn't be some sort of remains of a Nike or HAWK missile battery, as none were located in that immediate vicinity, and the ones that were in the Miami/Homestead area are well-known.
I'm continuing to think it was located near a salt marsh because it was some sort of
minor radio facility -- navigational aid for aircraft, maybe a USCG LORAN sub-station or even an
old AM radio station transmitter site. The transmitter & possibly control facility would
of course be on Terra Firma, but the actual antennas could have been to the W, in the marsh.
Simple ground-truth should confirm or deny that.
I can't think of any other facility that'd want to be in a marsh area other than a pumping station.
The macro-view photos on-line certainly make the site curious, but micro-photos, focusing on various equipment panels, electrical wiring, old antenna mounts on the roof or surrounding land, etc. could provide good clues to finally solving the mystery.
I emailed the local county history officials a couple weeks ago about the place in-case they had any updates, but have not heard back, so fuk dem niggaz
Please either post the photos here, and/or PM me so you could email them to me (I wouldn't share them without your permission, and you will get a lot of credit if we finally solve the mystery).
