2 months. 2 months of research is what it took me to figure out this location. I gathered up every single photo of the place I could find on the internet, and from a few tiny glimpses through the few unfrosted windows, I was able to piece together an idea of what the area would look like from satellite view. Then I spent a few hours here and there for weeks combing over google maps, hoping to just stumble across the place. After a total of around 20 hours of searching, I had finally found it. Now I just had to travel to another continent and hope I could find a way inside. Was it worth it? I think so.

Unfortunately our exploration was cut short when an alarm started going off at the adjacent abandoned paper mill the power plant once supplied. A car shortly arrived and we decided it was time to make a hasty exit. This place definitely provides that magic atmosphere we always search for, like you're somewhere that can't possibly be real. I hope this time capsule of a place sticks around for a long time, and if you do happen to discover it yourself, please help keep the secret!

Amazing pictures! It sure looks like it was worth it to go there. You must have felt so good once you finally found it. I've always loved that color of green that they painted the machinery from that era and it's amazing how intact it is there.

Worth the effort man, hope you agree. Hell of an explore, beautiful pics. 2 thumbs and a dong up!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

This. This right here is what it's all about, and I'm glad you were able to find that feeling in this place. It's unfortunate but not terribly surprising that you had to travel outside the U.S. to find a place as uniquely gorgeous as this, but I'm very glad you did so that you're able to share it with us here.

I wouldn't blame you for not shooting a video here for fear that you would inadvertently give away location details, but if you did I'll certainly watch it the second you post it.

Really unique color. It feels so retro, so I'm sure stepping in was like walking through a time warp. Sometimes due diligence leads to discovering the best locations.

Well done

I love it! Congratulations on the find. I'm happy for you. Your photographs are great and they all came out beautiful. The colors are exactly what I expected based on the title. In picture #6, the coil & reflection, did you shoot from an angle to avoid your image in the glass, or did you edit yourself out? Judging by the photo I'd guess you aimed away from your reflection, but I was curious since shiny stuff can be tricky too head-on.

Yes but only a little 5 minute segment in another video. There's not much else to see of this place other than what's pictured.

It's just taken at an angle, you can slightly make out the round shape of my lens on the left side.

Bravo. I've found the chase is an important part of an explore. When you finally find the place - well, it's climax time.

Beautiful photos too! Congrats ;)
