Heyo, first time posting here. I was browsing Google Maps in the hills near me for a new place to explore and stumbled upon this site: https://goo.gl/maps/Y2YwMkKb8yp From what I can tell, this seems to have been a missile test site back in the 60's? But I'm finding surprisingly next to 0 information online. The area under the former test site looks to have been made into a public reserve, but the test site itself is still fenced off, so I was wondering if anyone knows the risks & difficulty of trespassing on the area (active security or anything)? Also wondering what exactly that structure my map link leads to might be, looks almost like a tunnel or something. If anyone has been there before or has any idea what to expect I'd love some feedback, not sure when I'll be back in San Jose to check it out but if I get a chance I'll update on what happens.

Only a handful of buildings remain (mostly, maintenance facilities for on-site contractors and security). The site you pinned was the main rocket test stand site. It has all been removed and only the concrete walls remain as support for the hillside it's tucked up against.
Others here had the great experience of exploring this place a while back and got some great photos to show for it. Here's a few from when the site was operational. These are photos from test firing a Titan-III M solid-propellent rocket motor half a century ago.

Wow, that's an incredibly quick and detailed response, thank you. That's sad that most of the stuff is gone, but the remains of that test site look decently interesting still. I'm assuming the company still owns the site since you mentioned there's still on site security and such, any clue how risky an expedition would be? Also I couldn't find any other posts here about the site bar one brief mention, so I'm assuming the rest are restricted to full members? Either way thanks man.

Its in the data base UEDB but you cant see it.

Sorry come back after more than one post, post a lot, just post things like "awesome pics" or "that place is on my list" but you cant go wrong with "there was not as much graffiti last time I was there" then, apply for Full Member status.

Dang WhiteAlbin0,

Way to put this site on blast. Pun intended. I've been meaning to visit this place for a while now. There are lots of cool looking geographic anomolies in that area as well.

I heard from an old guy that when they used to test these motors it would shake the soup cans in the supermarkets in Morgan Hill. Man, what a sight that must have been to watch those things burn. What a cool part of aerospace history that's completely forgotten.

Its a dog eat dog world out there, and sometimes, its the other way around.
