Abandoned "Castle"
< on 2/10/2020 4:32 PM >

This was a short little explore with a few friends a bit ago. This used to be a giant mansion known as the "castle" by locals. It went up in flames in 2016, so it's just concrete left...

Cool find. It's like someone's evil mountaintop lair. I do like the Brutalist look. Was there a basement?

I could only imagine what it looked like in its Glory days. Cool pictures. Was it a intentional fire?

Was it abandoned before the wildfires, or was it occupied prior and deemed too costly to rebuild? Either way, awesome pics. I definitely know some explorers who would go swimming in that pool, though I'm not sure I would lol.

It was destroyed in the fire. The last I heard/could find about it is that the owner was waiting for an OK from the insurance company to rebuild. That was four years ago, though, so I'm betting they just left it alone.
