What?
I had insane dreams that made more sense than that statement.

Just for you

ME on private street that appeared to be a public street.
Do you have any problems understanding that?

Do you have problems to understand what a Sheriff deputy is?

Sheriff deputy asked me to leave that street.
Do you have any problems understanding that?

While walking to my vehicle....
Do you have problems to understand walking to a vehicle?

....the deputy wanted to shoot me as he thought I am carrying a gun.
Any problems understanding that?

Do you have problems understanding the things I wrote up to here?
I better make a 2nd posting as it might be the amount of text that gave you a problem.

Your hands not in plain sight?
He brandished his weapon?
Why did he think you had a gun?
They have a lot poaching there?
You have permit to pack?
Sounds like only pieces of the whole story.
It's not to much to ask for posts that make sense.

A cop can be rude.
You you saying he made a terroristic threat to you?
I've dealt with a lot of LEOs and never heard of anything like that...

That would be scary as hell. I don't know if you're familiar with detroiturbex.com, but I read on there that the photographer came upon a dog fighting ring inside an abandoned school. Definitely not the kind of people or animals I'd want to encounter in a place I'm already not supposed to be in. I'm not sure what would be worse to get chased by; dogs or humans? Dogs won't press charges, but at least humans won't bite.

I mean, most of them won't, I think...

Very glad I've never stumbled on to anything like that. I'd be more worried about the dogfighting guys deciding I looked like a snitch than anything else. People involved in illegal gambling don't play around.

bees, possible africanized bees

chased me all the way to my car took 4 or 5 hits on the head and neck glad Im not allergic to them more of a psychological thang I guess bees don't really hurt that bad but you shoulda seen me run!

I almost died after walking onto an underground beehive when I was 7 years old. I was stung at least 14 times. I have a debilitating phobia of the damn things to this day.

EDIT: Evidently, I can't spell.

Was she "screaming" or growling at you?
Way cool shot. Too funny.
At night they can be harmless holy terrors. They glide with no wing noise at all, even when flapping their wings they fly very quiet. They can easily get the drop on you at night. If they leave out a scream in that situation it gets your attention.
They're territorial little bastards

I've told this tory a couple of times. I was in a forest preserve after dark. Saw the lights and bolted. Ran a couple of blocks away then slowly walked back for my car and the cop was gone.

I was in a local-ish favourite a month or so ago... parked in the lot beside the building where lots of people do to go fishing and walk their dogs, made my way in with the usual climb a retaining wall, climb a fence, and wander in. Took photos for maybe 10 minutes, wandered through the courtyard and made eye contact with a guy in the main section of the building who was sweeping. He gave a pretty poor chase, but man, did I ever feel like a jackass getting into my car parked right in front of the place (which I did a photoshoot with in that spot before I entered the building).

Apparently everyone who has been getting caught in the place lately has been getting charged, so I guess I was lucky?

Weird. It looked in really rough shape earlier this summer, like significantly worse than the last time I was there. There were signs of activity, but we had enough time to take our time with photos and have a couple of leisurely beers. Someone had definitely done some cleanup, though.

I haven't been chased out of a place per say, but I did get confronted by an old man suffering from dementia who apparently lived there. I later learned he had died, so OF COURSE the natural thing to do is go back....and got caught by the new owners of the property (who have since fixed it up, and were less terrifying than a confused old man).

I can't believe he managed to lived in such decrepit conditions for so long. My initial visit was 2009, my return visit was 2013. There was raccoon shit all around the house, it was falling apart, etc. But someone had to have been checking in because he had a shower stall and toilet installed beside the kitchen on the main floor, seemingly an accessibility thing.

Is that a Barred Owl? I'm so impressed that you got that shot! I've tried and almost always failed to even see owls at night, let alone get photos of them. The aforementioned owl variety makes a sound reminiscent to a shriek of death that will send chills of terror down your spine if you don't know what it is. One of them scared the living shit out of me when I was in West TX light painting a cool old church.

Cool shot!

Its a barn owl, looks similar but names sound alike. This one was hissing at me for waking him/her up inside a dark old adobe.

Thanks

I think its a profound statement about modern society as a whole. The sherif deputy representing what the sociopolitical establishment expects and demands from us. Then when we try to abide by this false standard the rules change and we are penalized for doing what we were told to do in the first place. The gun in this allegory is the scapegoat being what is blamed by establishment for "Being what changed the system in the first place".

Or was it the knowledge that a supersonic bullet egressing from the defiant trespasser's gun could make nut zipper soup said LEO's brain?
Sounds like a knee jerk reaction survival judgement call to me.

Ive been caught on top of rooftops a few times. When asked why we were up there we always responded with, we're just looking for the bathroom. Yes, that's right, up on the roof.

I was chased out of Letchworth a few months ago but shortly caught. There were cops at every exit of the building. They threatened to arrest me and impound my car. Once they realized I wasn't there to vandalize anything they ended up just giving me a parking ticket and told me to never show my face there again hah

Well I could go on and on, never really got chased out of a location but I had plenty of cops and squatters and assorted weirdos yelling for me to leave, guess I just don't look approachable enough for a friendly conversation so they just yell. From a distance.

Never actually been shot at either but this little guy threatened to shoot me so I pulled my camera on him. He covered his face and ran back inside maybe to fetch a pistola I don't know, I didn't hang around long enough to find out and didn't feel like having a gunfight that day.

Yes, a few times. Not really chased, but similar concept.

Was exploring a building at Hudson and look out the window to see about 3 state trooper cars there. Turns out they were there for 2 people they caught outside on the property. We had to be quiet the whole time as they were down below in the street about 35 feet away. Once they left, we left the building and ran, well more like sprinted to the main gate to the parking lot next door. We didnt want to risk it in case the cops came back.

The other time was a few years ago. Was in a building (the one in my avatar), and we were all going up the stairs when someone else comes running down from an upper floor saying there is a fire. Later found out that someone set a few paper cups on fire. Anyway, looking out of a window there are like 5 park police cars outside. We ran to the tunnels, and headed to another building.

And once we actually had to retreat INTO a building. We had just gotten through the fence around the back, and were standing on the loading dock. A cop comes driving up out of nowhere, and we continue on though the POE....we hid in a dark room for what seemed like an hour. He entered the building (he wasn't supposed to) and only searched around the room we had entered from outside, but then he left. We left about an hour later through the tunnels to another building.

Got chased out of Norwich back in the Kenny Rogers days. It was a rite of passage. Apparently he threw down lots of those gunpowder snaps so he'd know where we were in the tunnels when we stepped on them. High-tailed it right up into the Chapel and out the panic-bar doors. Had to hide from khaki-wearing developer types earlier in the day, so seems we just picked a bad day to be there. Also found written on a door "learning this place so we can find you" with that day's date written below it. Somebody was taking their job way too seriously.
