Can't make sense of this.
Everybody loved him.
I want this to be some kind of
sick joke so I can punch him in the gut.
Sad, angry and confused all at once.
Dammit Steve. Gonna miss you.

Steve was my best friend. I know he had many and I can understand why. He was the glue that held me to so many amazing people both inside and outside on UE. My world is absolutely shattered and I can't control this feeling in my chest.

Now take that and imagine how his family feels. I was lucky enough to have lived with Steve, called him my brother, and lived life that much better with him.

Soul mates come in many different forms and I wouldn't have everything positive and loving in my life today if it wasn't for his friendship and love. He has forever changed my life starting from the first day I met him.

Please help us by posting this link wherever you can. Give what you can and, "make something cool happen!"

Everything goes to Steve's brother, Kieth, to help in any way his family sees fit.

Never got a chance to meet him, but he was one of the first people I ever talked to here. Always such a chill, funny dude. Peace to him and everyone who was close

Steve was such a nice guy, never had the chance to meet him in person but I had always hoped to one day. My deepest condolences to his friends and family, he will be hugely missed here.

Since no one else has said this, what happened?

To respect family and friends, I will answer this because I don't want the truth to get distorted by playing telephone. I know how people can talk and even though people are respectful in intentions, it can happen with communication.

Those who know Steve know he battled demons. As awesome and happy as he seemed, his dark side of the moon got the best of him.

I do not feel it was on purpose at all. If it was, he would have included a "<3" at the end of our conversation last Thursday. Instead we talked about Hockey.

I'll miss you Don...you were one of the few people that actually gave a enough of a cap about my photography to talk to me about them. Hope you're exploring the heck outta heaven...where there are no locked doors anywhwere.

I didn't know Steve outside of perhaps one, maybe two small exchanges several years ago. He appears to have made many friends and kept clear of the controversies that were on UER. The comments on this thread alone are enough to show he had close ties with so many explorers.

Life is short, hope that you're at peace and enjoying exploring all of those locked doors up in Heaven marked 'no trespassing'.

been friends with him on facebook for a few years, but never met in person. had many great chats and shared a geeky bond over Star Wars. hope he's exploring in the great beyond, making lightsaber noises with a smile on his face.

Our interactions were mainly on FB, and like most people I'd share some interesting Star Wars things I saw with him. The posts that have been appearing on his page have been touching and heartbreaking all rolled in to one as he obviously touched peoples lives in a big way. My sympathies to all of you who are hurting right now.

The donations page for helping his family is an absolutely wonderful idea, and I don't doubt it will exceed expectations.

I'll miss the guy. He seemed like a real hoot to be around, though I never really befriended him online or in person.

Chat was always interesting when he was in there - never a dull moment. R.I.P., Corley.

My first experience with Corley was him giving me all kinds of shit over how I'd have to change my screen name on here because it was too close to his. My favorite was when, pretty much out of nowhere, he abducted me for a road trip to Atlanta and borrowed an Optimus Prime helmet and we had a marker fight. He checked in randomly through the years and I always assumed I'd see him again. He was a great guy. My heart goes out to his friends on here and elsewhere, and his family.

Ive known steve for a couple years now. He was definitely one of the most friendly, outgoing people I've met. I got to know him really well just this past year when we spent some time in a jail cell after exploring for a weekend. Really a great dude. He will be remembered forever.

I'm incredibly saddened by the death of one of my best friends, he was always there for me when I needed him and he was so strong for me whenever I was running into problems. I wish I could've been there for him more than I was. I had no clue he was struggling so hard... I'm here if anyone needs to talk, I know I've done lots of talking to others and it's helped me a fair bit.

Just in case anyone else is suffering from the same demon of addiction, just know that overdoses can be counteracted if caught soon enough. If you're going to do drugs, please be as safe as possible. And if you have someone you trust enough, please don't shoot up alone.

It sucks to think so many overdose deaths could've been prevented had the user felt comfortable enough to let a trusted individual stay with them to make sure they were okay. I know it's hard to find someone who would do this, but I'm sure there's got to be at least a few.

I've spent a few hours researching overdose deaths after I found out what happened to Corley, and I stumbled across this article it's worth a read if you're an addict or you know someone who is. http://www.webmd.c...-overdose-naloxone

R.I.P Corley, I hope you're rocking a silver sparkly helmet wherever you are. <3
