Um...what sort of fun are you looking for?

Not that kind! Get your mind out of the gutter!

Houses that are soon to be developed, buildering, etc. I haven't stretched my UE legs in a while.

*and when i say developed, i meant torn down for new townhouses.

Well...i should be stopping by for a visit..be sure to stop by and OFFER ME SOME CHANGE whilst panning on the corner. haven't picked my spot yet... i might need to polish on my bum rush moves since i quit my job. You know i'm good for it, and i know i have a few places to stay. Look forewart to the visit. Don't worry, I should still have a few bux left in my pockets..hoping they doesn't have any holes.

wow this is an awesome thread. I just got back into exploring, but back in the day I used to have an underground hangout called the pit. Anyone here know the pit?

also I was wondering if it is bad etiquette to have a poker game in the hall of wonders? Just a few friends of mine nothing huge. I am not sure of the "proper rules" I am aware not to destroy anything or leave junk around, But how cool would that be for ppl exploring the hall of wonders to come across some people playing a game of cards?

Cause you are on the Infiltration site. Some of us are on UER.ca . there used to be others even.

Welcome.

I can't seem to find the Gambling in Abandonments link right now, but don't remember anything about restrictions on card games. Cockfighting though is right up there with vandalism, goes against the UER spirit. Welcome, enjoy the HOW and WHY of exploring in Victoria.

I half feel like I deserve a medal for reading through every single one of the 108 pages here, and half like I don't deserve to post at all, haha.

I'm two weeks brand new to victoria, but if I can get my hands on some appropriate footwear, would be down for checking out the hall of wonders with a pal for a starter some weekend. I'm seriously amazed at everything that's gone on in the last few years here.... wow.

How on Earth did you find us anyway...? Welcome, and post as much as you like.

If you're two weeks brand new to Victoria, I'm assuming you're a student. That means you likely have access to some excellent research resources on our favourite subject. Tanuki managed to dig up some interesting information at UVic's Department of Interesting Information, and I am personally certain that a lot of what he learned and passed on to us saved our lives. Peterman will back me up on that. And so will A.Lien.

Tanuki will act all nonchalant. He'd tell you something like, "...meh, it's only noxious gasses that would kill you within about 3 seconds, so it's not like you'd feel anything bad before you died..." Tanuki eats bugs, and he has squeezed penguins and has lived in an ice cave and he knows more ways to transform living animal matter into delicious food than anyone I've ever met. We trust him.

Anyhoo...hope you enjoy the city, and find lots of ways to have fun while getting dirty.

I found you guys from a longtime friend who used to post here but apparently got deterred years ago by the attitudes? I expressed admiration for some of his adventures and he turned to me with this evil grin and said "well, one thing you should check out then is this website...."

Sadly I can't really find anything on UVic (perhaps I'm not looking in the right places?) but that's been alright seeing as I've been distracted for the last month reading every little bit of your escapades.

I sure am a student, who's blessed (read: cursed) with a workload of roughly 10 courses right now, hopefully dropping down to 9 by next week and therefore haven't had a chance to do an awful lot of exploration of the library yet. The internet tends to be my main pathway for hunting, although if it's as valuable a source as you make it out to be, I imagine I'll find myself there sooner or later.

I haven't explored the city nearly enough to enjoy it quite yet although the main thing keeping my mental map straight has been reading all the references to areas on this site, funnily enough. I passed fan tan alley today and got all excited In order to do some decent exploration I need some pals to do it with which is I guess what led to me posting here finally, although some wicked arachnophobia and some small amount of claustrophobia has deterred me somewhat. Not to mention lack of gear and a neurotic tendency to protect my hands, being a studying musician. I suppose that rules most everything out.

Is it that handsome fellow you're smooching in your avatar? I think I know him. He owes me money.

10 courses is pretty ambitious. Reminds me of one of those binge/purge stories. Really...how do you expect to learn anything if you're busy packing in 10 different assignments?

Drop your course load down to 3 per term. Trust me...you'll retain more. And your sanity won't be nearly as bruised post-grad.

Not having explored the city works to your advantage; whatever you find is brand new, and the excitement of that discovery will inspire you to seek out more ambitious projects. And you'll gain valuable experience...just don't go into dark and creepy places alone. Especially where tides are concerned.

Maybe you can petition Peterman (aka JPeterman) to ring the bell on a GCG meeting. Go ahead and ask him...I'll bet he'd do it.

no dice. luckily some of them aren't full credit courses so believe it or not, 7 or 8 averages out to most programs' 4 or 5 courses. I'm just doing some more fun stuff on top of that, but hopefully bumping it down soon too. that's the joy of music!

REgardless... i'll try to grab a spare weekend, an oblivious pal and a general sense of direction and come back with some exciting stories.

OOOOO OOOOO OOOOO...save me a rabbit!!!!! I hope to make it to the big island after i settle down on mainland near comox. Hopefully in Oct sometime.

Careful LL, KK's suave attitude, and killer looks are only a cover for his 3vil deviant mind. Of course, that's why some of us like him so much. That and he knows how to cook a killer breakfast. The guilt goes away by noon if you start drinking right away.

well how about a new meet up of the explorers? maybe we all could learn something new and share some of the experience? I hear of quite a few places like the douglas darkie and such but I honestly dont have much time to search for them, I have a couple of kids and most of my time goes to them, but I have been able to devote tues nights to explore so even a couple of hints would be nice. Hitting up the Hall of Wonders tonight so if you want to meet me and my group come on down around 11ish, we are all friendly non aggressive explorers interested in the tunnels
maybe see you there?
