Righteous work man! You found it, the legendary hidden and unused bathroom. Seriously, this is huge. The space, not just the can. It means you signifyin big time. Breakin new ground. So apply for membership and I'll give you a recommendation. That beer can is maybe ten years old. Scary lookin shit too. But teh space, dude, that is the old linkage to the Humbolt Laundry Power Station, I think. Go back if you can. Lemme know if I can tag along and take photos or video on your next trip. And yeah, you got the product placement thing going for Levi's. However; I don't think you got in by the red door. Show us a photo of it from the other side? I think I know how you got in. Crumbly stuff. Good luck; and great work.
My sister is Charlotte Light and Dark. Who am I? Farewell and thank you... "I was doing something that I thought could have some impact someday. In many ways, it's really these photographs that kept me going creatively." Dennis Hopper |

Seriously. Good work.

Posted by KublaKhan I've found several common threads whose similarities can more or less be traced back to various historical events, an example of which might include the tunnel blasted through bedrock in Esquimalt.
|
Which part of Esquimalt are you talking about?
|
|
The tunnel KK is talking about is one that is used by the military under their CFB base (I think thats what its called) I should ask if they have facility tours on the base.
I'm going hunting for mysteries, cover me. |

Dc250 Great work, man I remember back in 2001 (my younger/dumber year) Yanking on this door with everything I could find rebar, a huge crowbar. I can't believe I didnt get caught making such a ruccus. P.S. I'm seriously huge and strong too I can't believe I didn't get through. *Attention: Somewhat incriminating image follows*

What...like Halifax? I hear there are tunnels under that harbour, too.

So anyway, I've seen the entrance to this bizarre long lost chamber. Who wants to go on a trip?

There are no accessable tunnels under CFB Esquimalt, that I know of anyway...the one that people are thinking of (between the "Old" drydock and A jetty/sub building) is closed, and has been for at least the last 10 years. (*) My understanding is that it was closed due to the earthquake risk being too high. (that the whole lot would cascade down in one, not that the tunnel would cause one). There is a fair network of steam pipe "tunnels" and other ducts around, but they are like the ones along in front of the Emperess, kind of boring and mundane. (and no, I don't have access to them!) Peach (*) I can think of stupider places to try and pry open a locked gate, but mostly they involve being inside a occupied prison!
