Found someone's teeth in a mine yesterday.
Went 450-500' down before I ran outta rope. Found these inside.
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

I think it's actually an old pair of "dentures", and the "teeth" are just some weird copper allow of some kind. But you could be right.
Not a clue why it was down there. My teammate and I were several hundreds of feet underground, having rappelled in via a vertical shaft. We hit an incline, and needed more rope, so I ascended back UP the couple hundred we came in on, to get more rope from the truck. While I was gone he needed to take a leak, and while he was doing so he realized there were a pair of teeth right in front of his pecker, which he found pretty creepy.
I laughed my ass off when he told me

Red Mountain, Dog Patch Mine, 100ft level of shaft. That was a quick find. I wasn't asked to keep it a secret but it's way more fun this way. Let's just say that and this:

I was kinda hoping you weren't going to out this location just to play the one-up game, having seen your posts about you meeting up with the local and exploring it from several months ago. So much for that.
Measured by laser, that vertical is actually around 168ft deep, we went the vertical route for initial entry.
And the property is on the Ratcliffe Tungsten claim.
From that 168ft drift level, then another 200ft down the incline from there I found a very tiny thin rope, maybe 3mm or so. It reminded me of something you'd use; seeing as how it was cheap, and not sufficient for safely supporting humans, nor rated. Why'd you tie off the top AND the bottom?
Was also wondering who tore the handwritten pages out of the folder down there. =(
