I spoke with someone who should have known about what was behind the red doors in the empressive building, and he never mentioned much. He'd worked there from the early 50's on, so if the goings on were prior to that, he'd not have known. At least, some of the basements of that place are tidal...ie, don't be down there on a spring neap. (and yes, he worked in the lower areas of that edifice on the inner harbour, doing a job he'd picked up in the interior of BC) I'm aware that there are lots of stories, and believe that there is some truth, and some misdirection. I defer to GCG for what was there in the last 10 years, but I'm not viewed as cool enough to need to know. My job precludes me being as active as I'd like in hands on exploring, or even keeping current in SRT, for what it matters. Peach

I may have zoned out again, or something, but what does SRT mean in your post? Wiki only offers this. IDK, Single Rail Tunnel? Society Reveals Truth? In my mind, you've always been welcome to join in GCG activities, but you seemed to stay back. No judgement, am sure you are busy. We had meet ups and I think you were invited. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRT

Hey, didn't mean to send you off on a wild goose chase- there's a red door, but I've only seen it from the inside, no telling what colour it's painted on the other end. I like to think it's plastered with magazine cutouts of KK's teen crushes, and opens onto his secret hidey hole. Or maybe the chamber where JP is cryogenically frozen? Tunnel hunting is so last year- the search is on for their secret lair!

Single Rope Technique. Rope work. Got asked about it again today, strangely. I know that there was the invite to the GCG stuff, the last one was for the GCG meet up earlier in the year at VIFF. I am, unfortunately, too many hobbies into life really...there's about 65 things I like to do, at least I don't have a sailboat any more. (and yes, there is a TC article on what happened to Peach the sailboat Sailor). I was more meaning that though I have been a lurker around here for ~6 years, I am not a full member. (and NO, that's not a bitch, because I've contributed Sweet F All except for reading threads- I'd not expect to be a full member for what I've not done) Peach

Howdy, I had hoped to finish reading this thread before posting but eh why not make contact >.< I've been lurking on the site for quite some time now, but got sidetracked with schoo/work. I'm still on page 107 of this thread, more interesting than most books I've read! It should almost be printed and sold. It wasn't long ago I read about KK's mini doc. I would love to see it, anyone mind telling me where/when I may do so? I'm sure there are a couple important things I will be ignorant of until I've caught up reading this thread but I have got a list together of small sites I'm sure are well known to a lot of the GCG, and I've gotten a couple friends that are interested in checking things out with me. I'm fairly certain more than a few of the sites I spotted will turn out to be nothing though. We would also love to be able to meet up with a few experienced UERs in Vic with a little patience to show us the ropes. In the meantime I will continue reading! But man, I really feel like I'm late for the party. Pce, Dan

Cool, that makes sense. Were you the renegade who managed to dodge the rules and keep his sailboat on the Gorge for a while?

Unless there are 'repercussions' from KK's legal dept. this is my new AV. It really happened. First fuel stop on my way to Calgary; pulled in for gas, and that's exactly what the odometer read... A large wolf crossed the road minutes before.

Looks like it's time to do some work back at my lair. Satan's calling.

For some reason, the image of you giggling is going to haunt my dreams tonight.
Rev. Al ... Have never met the man, but he is an unsung hero and highly undervalued. Along with everyone else who works or volunteers at the shelters. A friend of mine works at one and I sure as hell couldn't do it. I met with Rev. Al this spring and am excited that he found a way for the United Way to throw some money over here to support the marginalized people of Salt Spring. I will be doing a Photography class so that people of a lower income, (or none at all), can get there art out to the masses and maybe get a leg up in life. We are as a community so very lucky to have Rev. Al in our midsts
It'll be a sad day when I watch the Blue Bridge go down. Speaking of that... I was speaking with a cop recently working on a murder case. They were diving for the weapon where the suspect said he threw it. They pulled up a gun, but not the right one - It was a 1930s pistol! I wonder what kind of other surprises they're gonna find when putting new foundations in. Our water is too acidic for anything made from wood to survive long. I suspect needles, beer cans, industrial stuff, assorted liquor/spirits/soda bottles from 100 years ago, and maybe stuff from the old Songhees village (stone artefacts or bottles). First Nations used to trade for liquor/beer brought up from California around the time of the gold rush. Its not like the had a recycling plant so I've heard they just used to old bottles into the water.

Oh and Hi everyone, been too busy with life to check in, glad to see everyone is still here... hope to get over there sometime this summer, happy exploring all!

Whoah, JP is still alive! Anyways yeah, I'll be on THE ISLAND on the 14th.

Kind of has a nice ring to it. Demonizing a Satanist? isn't that an oxymoron or something "Satanism is an oft misunderstood and demonized (8P) philosophy based around nontheism and a meritocratic hierarchy with a bit of self-love. However, the basis of this group is to bring the like-minded together for the sake of curiosity and connection; discourse and discovery. From the armchair philosopher to the vicious blasphemer, all are welcome!"

So this is it then. Khan and Skelly in the same room, at the same time. You'll know who's who by the fact that Skelly will be drinking piss, while I will be drinking something dark, flat and room temperature. This one better happen, Skelly.
