Yeah... been living in the area for 6 years now but haven't really done anything aside from some old houses out in the Roy and McKenna area. Need some good places to see and possibly some people who wanna go.

I live in Seattle, and I've wanted to explore the depths of this city for some time now. Anyone got any good locations and such, and want to show me around a bit?

I was a huge UrbExer in Kansas City, mostly because I went to KcUrbEx.org and that got me plenty of places to get my started, and I was able to find a lot on my own. However, I am new out here and I have no idea where to start, and what the homeless situation is like in certain parts. Any info on a good place to start and things like that would be a great help.

I'm free on the weekends for just about anything.

the old flour mill in seattle that everyone talks about has been taken over and and is now owned by these guy:

http://www.puratos.com/

they wouldn't let me in to take any pics of the mill.

Really? I find that hard to believe... You're sure they're not just using part of the complex or something?

Puratos is the company that owns (or is using) the active part, so I don't think it's too far fetched for them to acquire the abandoned section as well.

Well, I mean more them using it and actively denying entry and stuff.

By law (any city/state), you have the right to ask for permission to gain access to any private or public property that is being used by the owner in which you have requested this permission. If you feel that the person/dept/company is not who they say they are, you may ask for their ID and other info that can show proof of management/ownership of such land or property.

If you think that the person you talked to does not have full rights of ownership or control of the abandoned part of the mill, you may ask to see their ID and/or physical proof of ownership/management of the property or building in question.

If they cannot provide the such information, then they cannot deny access, detain you, or claim such rights. If they are not responsible for the property or building in question, and they do detain you and hold you against your will (without reading your rights as well, or show any such reason for doing so), you can charge them with kidnapping, harassment, and/or physical assult; regardless of whether or not you are trespassing on property that is not under their control.

Cool huh?

Go explore now!

Building quality: low cost my ass.
It would cost a fortune to restore those buildings. Or by quality are they referring to how well it was built?
