This collection of various automotive parts and machinery is not far from my house next to a vacant lot off of Huffman Rd. I figured it would be a good place to try out my new camera.

When I was in Fairbanks almost 10 years ago, lot's of yards on the outskirts were like that. I even saw a jumbled pile of cars 15 feet high in the middle of nowhere.

I guess with the costs of shipping in new goods, people keep junk around for possible other uses.

Yeah, it's not uncommon for people to have stuff lying about their yards here. I'm going to UAF in the fall and I already scouted out some locations to explore up there as well.
