Which building? We're still talking about the orange boat moored at the UC wharf.

It's in Wright's Cove near the NGC (National Gypsum Company).
As for Moirs, I'd like to get down there relatively soon, who knows what'll happen to the building now.

I think I mentioned this at the start but we all started talking about the boat; does anyone know about the apartment blocks just next to the bridge on the Dartmouth side?

I know they used to be Private Married Quarters and the whole thing (school, hockey rink, and maybe a grocery store) was old Shannon Park. From what I found out they were absolute shit and weren't even fit for low income housing even when they were new.

we had that conversation today at the meeting, but they are patrolled almost hourly, and they plucked a few people out from inside, so people have to be watching it.

Indeed, Shannon Park is still owned by DND, and as such is an actively monitored site with frequent patrols.

I wouldn't risk it.

Well... I guess that means old Shannon park is out of the question.

In the spring my father and I are going to drive around a bit to see if we can find anything. We'll probably check out areas outside of the Halifax-Sackville sort of areas and go towards the south shore; I think we saw some places down that way last year.

I strongly agree. I believe some regulars here on UER have been nabbed by DND while in there, IIRC.

I was just looking on Wikimapia for the Camperdown Naval Signal Station, and I came across a TeleGlobe site in Sambro. It's just off of Sambro Creek Road.

Well, that doesn't mean I can't take a look around I'll just have to be careful. On the map, there is a location just south of that that says "Satellite Dishes", I assume it's part of the same facility. Really interested in seeing the place.
