Yes. It's condemned and sitting empty as we speak. Apparently it was only constructed to be a temporary structure for Expo 86. Now 20+ years later it's falling apart. The screws that hold the glass and steel in place are rusted to the point of being unsafe. It should be history soon.

WHOA REALLY! That's shitty. It was an awesome place for a party, and I went to a few there. It has most recently been a casino, but I guess not anymore. It was losing money anyway. It's too bad to see the building go, as it will likely mean another fucking condo tower or 3.

I had not heard about this, so if you could possibly keep this thread updated with anything anyone hears ... thanks.

The casino is in its own building next to the actual "plaza". The part that is being demolished is the overhead steel truss and glass panel roof. Like the above said, the glass panels are at risk of falling. It was only designed to last a year, or less.

Gone..............

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

They say they wanna use it now for a "meeting place" just without the roof.
Although interest has been shown in putting up a condo the gov't wants to keep it as a commercial property.
