i've seen from other posts that people have been there, I just hadn't seen too many pictures from this side and no mention of the explosives so I felt inclined to share.

this site here
http://www.deq.sta...superfund/fnod.pdf
is a sort of simplified version of what it used to be used for.

and heres another by the guys working to clean it up. also has a circled map of the area it takes up
http://www.nao.usa...emond/homepage.asp

we've only been to one part of it (right side if you are birds eyeing 664) but found a couple of cool things.

there was this, which appears to be some sort of cased up explosive

like i said...explosives.

then there was the insides of buildings

random roof ivy

old furnace thing

theres more but you get the idea. the only problem we had with people was that sometimes survey crews might drive through there. but they go down to the beach usually and theres plenty of buildings to hide in while they pass. we're looking to check out the other side sometime soon.

I've been to the left side of the highway many times (near TCC) but never to the right side.
On the left side it's pretty much the same thing only the explosives seem randomly scattered on the ground in some locations instead of neatly stacked (at least that's what I've seen)

Also there's some buildings that look like they're being used actively by TCC, always a rent a cop around though when I've tried to get in those.

Anyone know if the small nursing home in Norfolk is worth the try?

Or even better, anyone know if the disabled kids place near Scope is still active? I've never seen any life there except from the projects nearby
